Carlos Coste makes a timely return at the AIDA World Championships 2007

(07/2007) The free-diving world record-holder and watch partner of Oris Carlos Coste is currently competing at the AIDA Indoor Individual World Championships 2007 in Maribor, Slovenia. This will be his first international competition since his cerebral vascular accident last September whilst training to beat the no limits world record. The athlete is now in peak physical condition with the fitness to attempt to beat the dynamic Pan American record with flippers and prove himself as one of the best.

Music Festival-Prize SAECULUM-Award-Winner 2007: Gidon Kremer

This year’s SAECULUM goes to an international artist whose musical work has inspired people all over the world: Gidon Kremer.

Breitling as official timekeeper of the Red Bull Air Race

(05/2007) Breitling is associating with the ultimate aviation discipline by becoming official timekeeper of the Red Bull Air Race. Moreover, a plane flying the Breitling colors will be engaged in the competition throughout the season. Breitling and the Red Bull energy drink manufacturer have signed an agreement by which Breitling will serve as official timekeeper of the Red Bull Air Race World Series (RBAR). The partnership covers an initial three-year period.

(04/2007) Michael Wunderman, the President of the Swiss watchmakers CORUM sailed as 18th man aboard Victory Challenge in their battle against BMW Oracle in the 32nd America’s Cup. Wearing the conspicuous 18th man shirt the rules dictate that Michael must not contribute in any way to the running of the boat but had the chance to experience what many sailors spend their lives dreaming of – having a place aboard in the greatest yachting regatta on earth.

(03/2007) The miss is wearing the Lady: the current Miss Germany Isabelle Knispel wears her Oris Artelier Lady Date mechanical watch at all her special appearances. During the handover of the watch at Wempe in Berlin it became evident that a brilliant partnership was about to start between the radiant Miss Germany and the Oris Lady, set with diamonds. Isabelle Knispel was enthusiastic.

(03/2007) Mr Gérard Mortier, Director of the Paris National Opera, Mr Juan-Carlos Torres, CEO of Vacheron Constantin, and Mr Jean-Yves Di Martino, Vacheron Constantin’s Director France, signed an agreement in which Vacheron Constantin became a patron of the Paris National Opera for the entire 2007/2008 season.

Vacheron Constantin presented Collection Excellence Platine in Beverly Hills

(11/2006) Vacheron Constantin presented its Collection Excellence Platine, November 15 at a private Beverly Hills estate. The event was also a benefit for the EBMRF (Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation), a volunteer nonprofit foundation dedicated to the support of medical research, development of treatment and ultimately a cure for this deadly skin disease that affects children.

(10/2006) In the presence of Her Majesty Queen Sophie of Spain and Juan-Carlos Torres, Vacheron Constantin held a special concert in Madrid on 26 October in aid of the fight against Alzheimer’s. The Czech National Symphony Orchestra played works by Puccini, Rachmaninoff and Dvorak, directed by the young Spanish conductor, Inma Shara, one of the most talented of her generation who has conducted such internationally renowned orchestras as the Israel Philharmonic and the London Philharmonic.

Powerful voice Glashütte Original Fall Concert - Ute Freudenberg

(10/2006) Her incredible temperament and her powerful voice have become the trademark of Ute Freudenberg - one of East Germany’s most famous female singers. On October 19, 2006, she did not only sing the most successful titles of her career but presented also her latest songs. "Ich hab noch lange nicht genug" (I still don’t have enough) was the motto of her sold-out concert at Glashütte Original, followed by the beautiful ballade “Herbstwind” (Fall Winds).
