Lange & Söhne, two major exhibition projects are unveiling a new outlook on German art at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing: a retrospective of works by Gerhard Richter, one of the globally most acclaimed contemporary German artists, and the “Living Landscapes” exhibition, a journey in pictures through several periods of German landscape painting.
(06/2008) The watch specially designed by Hublot for referees officiating at the Euro 2008 matches will be presented to them today in Zurich by Hublot CEO, Jean-Claude Biver. All 44 referees will thus become the proud owners of an exclusive watch, not available for sale. The movement has been specially adapted by the watchmaking brand to the time of a match. The dial displays 45 minutes, plus 15 minutes of ext ra play, while the time can be read from the centre of the dial.

The Swiss manufactory will supply the official watch of the German national football team. The 30 years old baritone stood up to the Russian soprano singer Anna Pegova and his fellow countryman Sung-Kon Kim (32) with his aria from Guiseppe Verdis “Falstaff”.

(08/2007) The precious collector’s piece Prince’s Palace of Monaco displays Monaco’s palace perfectly painted onto the paper-thin Meissen porcelain dial with the greatest craftsmanship. This unique timepiece was donated by the Saxon watchmakers for the auction took place on September 20, 2007 during the 17th Monaco Yacht Show. The auction result of 30,000 Euro goes to research for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
