Jaeger-LeCoultre, the high-end Swiss watch brand with state-of-the-art watchmaking technology and the tradition of 178 years, held the Avenuel Boutique Grand Opening Event and introduced new timepieces for 2011 at Dynasty Hall, Hotel Shilla on June 8, 2011. The event began with a gallery-type exhibition of products, followed by CEO Jérôme Lambert remarks, videos on the brand history and products, a fashion show, dinner and performances.
The Gallery Zone provided a venue to share excitement over new products and masterpieces of Jaeger-LeCoultre, which represented the history and excellence of the brand. The exhibition featured Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication, which embodied the high technology of the brand and the mysterious night sky; Gyrotourbillon I completed with unique 3D tourbillion of Jaeger-LeCoultre; and Atmos Astronomique decorated with the main motifs of beautiful constellation and 12 signs of the zodiac.
The participants watched videos on the brand history and major new products through a 33m-wide ultra-large screen at the main event hall themed “Moon & Sky.” The lighting of the hall had the motif of Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication, which embodied mysterious beauty of the night sky and the universe. The fashion show featured a catwalk with models wearing new products, and a Jazz band staged a brilliant performance during dinner, adding excitement to the event. Celebrities including actress Ji-Min Han, opinion leaders and over 270 press members participated in the event, proving high interests and support for the brand.
Mr. Lambert said, “Since we established our first brand office in 2002, we have recorded a remarkable growth in Korea, especially in Seoul and Busan. Korea is one of the most dynamic markets for us, and I expect that we will set a standard for fine watchmaking, which is also aligned with our brand vision.”´The event was highly recognized as a rare opportunity to bring together the growing interests in Jaeger-LeCoultre as the premium Swiss watch brand, and to reaffirm the brand’s excellence and mastership in fine watchmaking with the exhibition of limited products.
