Internet World Business Shop- Award 2015Winner’s medal for the NOMOS Store
The online store of the renowned watchmaking company NOMOS Glashütte, known simply as the NOMOS Store, has placed second at the Internet World Business Shop-Award 2015. The prize, which was awarded during Europe’s leading ecommerce trade show, Internet World, recognizes the best online stores in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
The best in seven categories, from ‘multi-channel service’ to ‘B2B shop,’ are selected annually. It was in the category of ‘branded online store’ that the NOMOS Store took second place.
The online retailer won over the jury with high-quality product presentation and in-depth online advice. “It really does make you want to purchase a handcrafted watch,” remarked a member of the renowned expert jury. Florian M. Langenbucher, Head of the NOMOS Store, is proud of this digital trophy: “NOMOS watches are constantly winning prizes, with over 120 awards for technology and design to their name. It’s great that our innovative sales approach has also found favor!”
The online store creates an outstanding sales platform for the Glashütte watch brand - both visually and in terms of content. Aside from detailed product information, it also offers high-res images and highly developed customer service with a wide range of options - such as product filtering, watch comparison, and a strap selection aid. The design and technical implementation is of typical Glashütte perfection, portraying the brand image of NOMOS Glashütte in the finest way. And the shop system OXID EE has also been adapted: Every category has been individualized, and each one is unique.
The NOMOS Store has a huge role to play in the development of the brand-particularly abroad, where increasing numbers of NOMOS fans are using it; the site has over 100,000 visitors worldwide every month. It delivers to 42 countries globally and offers a 30-day right to return, as well as secure and usually free shipping.
A comprehensive range of services and expert advice are also on offer. But they are not finished yet, promises Langenbucher: “The watch industry might be a little slow when it comes to expanding online—but we too are improving in this area, and continually offering our customers more.”
