Classic Colors, Sporty DesignThe Three New Primus Models from Hanhart
Watch manufacturer Hanhart launched the world’s first affordable mechanical stopwatch in 1924. Hanhart introduced their first Chronograph Series in 1938, with the legendary single-button model, “Caliber 40,” whose replica, Primus, from the Vintage Line “Made in Germany,” has become a treasured collector’s item. Hanhart AG now presents the three new models in their Chronograph Line “Made in Switzerland,” which they launched at Baselworld 2009: Exclusive chronographs which draw on the tradition of the German watch manufacturer Hanhart and incorporate Swiss state-of-the-art technology for truly unique timepieces. The name of the collection says it all: Primus.
Primus is a sporty chronograph collection, elegantly designed, the historic element combined with the latest technology, and the distinctive signature that has distinguished Hanhart since 1938: The red button. It is a collection for connoisseurs and collectors, for people who go their own way. Precise and robust, these watches meet the highest quality demands and unite the features that have distinguished Hanhart stopwatches since 1924. Sporty and elegant, they’re the sophisticated accessory chosen and proudly worn for those moments when life becomes an experience. The names of the chronograph lines – Pilot, Racer and Diver – express these moments. Primus is the first and new generation of Hanhart Chronographs in German Engineering – Swiss Made. The collection containing nine elegant models, now, in 2010, adds three more – in classic colors and sporty Hanhart design.
Primus Pilot’s Chronograph SteelBrown
In the past, Hanhart produced pilot’s chronographs including the legendary “Caliber 41” and the “Tachy Tele” with its red button. Today, they are arousing enthusiasm as replicas. Making its debut on the market is the Primus Pilot’s Chronograph SteelBrown in the trendy color chocolate. Remaining unchanged is the clarity of display, thanks to the yellow Super-LumiNova® and a clearly arranged time display. A sporty timepiece, that looks just as great with an elegant suit as it does after work, at the gym or on the playing field. The flexible lugs mold to fit any wrist and the individually adjustable clasps with inlaid red marking are incredibly practical and ensure a perfect fit.
Primus Racer’s Chronograph SteelGrey
In the past, Hanhart stopwatches have always played a key part in leading motor sports events. Timers held their leather clipboard in their left hand, and with their right hand they operated the three Hanhart stopwatches mounted on the brackets. They accurately recorded the lap times. Accurate also describes today’s Primus models, featuring a HAN38 movement with the added bicompax configuration, for small seconds and chronograph counters. Even today, when hardly anyone measures time anymore, it’s nice to know the red button can still be pushed. It’s not just there to add contrast to the grey time display. The elegant appliqué is truly striking, a work of art with a classic black leather strap, also available with a black vulcanized rubber strap.
Primus Diver’s Chronograph SteelBlueYellow
In the past, Hanhart supplied the Navy with chronographs and stopwatches. Today naval officers, leisure sailors and divers wear Hanhart wristwatches or use Hanhart stopwatches. The new Primus Diver’s Chronograph SteelBlueYellow incorporates the color of the ocean, contrasting it with the yellow Super-LumiNova® Totalizers: a real eye-catcher. The blue vulcanized rubber strap with the Hanhart lettering is the perfect complement. The Diver’s technical features include a unidirectional rotating bezel, unique in its concavity.
