BASELWORLD 2009New World Record for a CX Swiss Military Watch™ diving watch?
Montres Charmex SA, a watch manufacturer situated in Liestal, Switzerland, has come up with a new website these days: http://www.20000feet.com. The title of the site indicates a new world record for diving watches – most likely to be presented during the upcoming BASELWORLD 2009. The 20’000 feet are roughly equivalent to some 6’000 meters – which would indeed be a new world record, beating the one Rolex set in 2008 with “only” 3’900 meters.
Before Rolex it was also a timepiece manufactured by CX Swiss Military Watch™ (the “12’000 FEET”) that held the world record for diving watches – for more information visit http://www.12000feet.com/.
Upon inquiry, Montres Charmex SA told us that a press conference will be held on March 27th 2009, at the press center of the BASELWORLD.
