Louis Erard 1931 - Tonneau Open Mondphase
Turning to one of the legendary shapes in horology, Louis Erard accentuates the element of transparency by skeletonising its 1931 Tonneau Moon Phase. The fine openwork of the guilloché dial reveals a skilfully-made mechanism that activates the day, month and moon phase discs, while the gear-trains evoke the film Modern Times, another masterpiece combining retro and modernity.
The curved sapphire crystal conveys a sense of size and luminosity to the whole piece. A passionate perfectionist, Louis Erard has given its latest creation a particularly elegant caseback: a completely open transparent tonneau glass revealing the sophisticated movement within, as well as the delicate Côtes de Genève decoration.
In continuous flux between tradition and modernity, Louis Erard has created a watch that smoothly combines balance, excellence, unpretentious refinement and originality. Values that embody the quintessence of the 1931 Collection, a collection distinguished by the characteristics of Haute Horlogerie in a particularly attractive price segment.
