Pianist Hélène Grimaud and cellist Jan Vogler Girard-Perregaux organised private concert in the Allerheiligenhofkirche in Munich

(10/2008) The last Saturday of October, an exceptional event took place in the Allerheiligenhofkirche, the court church of all saints in Munich. In collaboration with the business consultancy Booz & Company and the long-established watch and jewellery shop Uhren Huber, Girard-Perregaux organised a private concert of the French pianist Hélène Grimaud and the famous cellist Jan Vogler.

Yves Rossy successfully crossed the English Channel using a Single, Jet-Propelled Wing

(09/2008) At September 26th 2008 HUBLOT Ambassador Yves Rossy successfully completed an amazing challenge at 1:19pm (BST) and became the first man to fly across the English Channel from Calais, France to Dover, UK, using a homemade, single, jet-powered wing. FusionMan covered a distance of 35 kilometres in 13 minutes. His flight has been broadcasted live on 164 tv stations through National Geographic Channel.

In addit ion, the watchmaking brand lent it s name to a team of ext raordinary players who proudly sported it s colours alongside the brand's Argent inian ambassador, Miguel Nov illo Ast rada. To crown the event , the proud winners of the “Gstaad Palace” team were presented with a Big Bang chronograph from the “Polo Gold Cup Gstaad” limited series.

Sky du Mont visits Glashütte Original

(08/2008) Last Friday, before appearing as the presenter for “Diva Maxima”, the actor Sky du Mont paid a visit to the Glashütte Original manufactory. The Saxon watchmaking company was one of the main sponsors involved in supporting this unique musical event. Dr. Frank Müller, Managing Director of Glashütte Original, personally greeted Mister du Mont in the production workshops. In the studio, Sky du Mont then learned something of the fine art of watch design as practiced by the master watchmakers in Glashütte Original.

Hublot - EURO 08 Chronometer

(06/2008) The watch specially designed by Hublot for referees officiating at the Euro 2008 matches will be presented to them today in Zurich by Hublot CEO, Jean-Claude Biver. All 44 referees will thus become the proud owners of an exclusive watch, not available for sale. The movement has been specially adapted by the watchmaking brand to the time of a match. The dial displays 45 minutes, plus 15 minutes of ext ra play, while the time can be read from the centre of the dial.

Team Spirit: IWC Pilot’s Watch Double Chronograph Edition DFB

(05/2008) Even before the starting whistle for the Euro 2008 in Switzerland and Austria, IWC Schaffhausen is producing a football highlight. The Swiss manufactory will supply the official watch of the German national football team. Fans will also be able to underscore their support for the team with the Pilot’s Watch Double Chronograph Edition DFB, of which precisely 500 examples will be built.
