Miss Germany wears an Oris Watch

(03/2007) The miss is wearing the Lady: the current Miss Germany Isabelle Knispel wears her Oris Artelier Lady Date mechanical watch at all her special appearances. During the handover of the watch at Wempe in Berlin it became evident that a brilliant partnership was about to start between the radiant Miss Germany and the Oris Lady, set with diamonds. Isabelle Knispel was enthusiastic.

(11/2006) After its historical creation in March 2006, the foundation charter for the "German Watch Museum - Nicolas G. Hayek" was officially presented in the Atrium of the Glashütte Original manufactory. Following Dr. Frank Müller’s welcome speech, Dr. Hanspeter Rentsch of the Swatch Group plc management board took the floor and reaffirmed the support of the Swiss watch company for the foundation’s ambitious plans.

(10/2006) In the presence of Her Majesty Queen Sophie of Spain and Juan-Carlos Torres, Vacheron Constantin held a special concert in Madrid on 26 October in aid of the fight against Alzheimer’s. The Czech National Symphony Orchestra played works by Puccini, Rachmaninoff and Dvorak, directed by the young Spanish conductor, Inma Shara, one of the most talented of her generation who has conducted such internationally renowned orchestras as the Israel Philharmonic and the London Philharmonic.

Powerful voice Glashütte Original Fall Concert - Ute Freudenberg

(10/2006) Her incredible temperament and her powerful voice have become the trademark of Ute Freudenberg - one of East Germany’s most famous female singers. On October 19, 2006, she did not only sing the most successful titles of her career but presented also her latest songs. "Ich hab noch lange nicht genug" (I still don’t have enough) was the motto of her sold-out concert at Glashütte Original, followed by the beautiful ballade “Herbstwind” (Fall Winds).

(08/2006) Within the framework of Great Britain’s GP Masters in Silverstone, watch manufactory Glashütte Original and former Formula 1 driver Christian Danner invited former Formula 1 elite drivers to an exclusive evening event that included a watch presentation. When Danner extended his invitation, (almost) everyone came. Of the sixteen drivers participating in the Grand Prix, thirteen arrived with escorts in tow the evening before the practice.

(06/2006) The concert of the chamber orchestra Carl-Philipp-Emanuel-Bach under the direction of Prof. Hartmut Haenchen, which took place on 9th June, 2006 in Dresden's Semper Opera House, was dedicated to Mozart and his contemporaries Kraus and Haydn. The impressive concert was preceded by an award ceremony during which the opera director Joachim Herz received the €25,000 SAECULUM - Glashütte Original - Dresden Music Festival Prize.

Dresden’s International Congress Glashütte Original Wins Saxon State Prize for Design

(12/2005) The traditional Saxon luxury watch manufactory Glashütte Original was awarded the sought-after Saxon State Prize for Design 2005 during a ceremony that took place at Dresden’s International Congress on November 30th, 2005. Presiding over the award ceremony was Saxon State Minister for Economics and Labor, Thomas Jurk.
