Both of these articles were confiscated from him by Customs officials at Frankfurt immigration. Now he has been ordered to pay 1,500 euros import duty and VAT. In addition, criminal proceedings were started against him.

At this year's SIHH, the Star Nicolas Rieussec Monopusher Chronographs were the first watches presented by Montblanc to feature movements manufactured entirely in the company's own workshops. At the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie from 19 to 23 January 2009, the company will be extending its wide range to include several new products.

The Montblanc Star Steel Lady Jewellery makes timekeeping a sensuous experience. The bezel is adorned with 49 diamonds totalling 0.8 carat, 7 diamonds mark the hours and the small chronograph faces are also edged with diamonds. A stainless steel casing with bombé sapphire glass with anti-reflex coating encloses the mother-of-pearl face. The alligator strap in pink, grey or violet with a rhodium-plated buckle is colour-coordinated with the face in rosé, white or delicate violet.
