Alpina organized an exciting event The new Alpina Startimer Pilot Collection
To celebrate the first deliveries of the new Alpina Startimer Pilot Collection, Alpina organized Thursday May 26th an exciting event in collaboration with Cessna Aircraft and PrivatAir. A group of 32 journalists and VIP Customers were flown around the Alps in chartered Cessna Private Jets, including the Cessna Citation Mustang. The event was organized impeccably by PrivatAir. “We are very happy with our collaboration with Cessna Aircraft and PrivatAir”, said Peter Stas, CEO of Alpina Watch International SA.
After a joint presentation of Alpina Genève, PrivatAir and Cessna – which took place at the PrivatAir Office on Geneva International Airport – during which journalists were able to rediscover the Alpina Startimer collection and to understand the motivations of this great collaboration, the members of the press have been invited to board in Cessna Citation Mustang & CESSNA Citation Excel private jets, for a memorable flight from Geneva to Chambéry airport (France), by making an incredible tour over the Alps at very low altitude. The summits of the Mont Blanc and Matterhorn were at an almost touching distance.

During a delicate lunch above the ‘Lac du Bourget’ in Chambery, the Alpina Startimer Pilot timepieces were shown and discussed in-depth. Peter Stas, CEO of Alpina Watch International SA, proudly showed his AL-710 Manufacture Startimer Pilot, build with an in-house developed and produced automatic caliber that features minute and hour indication as well as off-center date hand. The iconic Manufacture Startimer Pilot Regulator combines historic pilot watch design features with a modern day regulator lay out. Last but not least, a well-balanced and powerfully designed automatic chronograph version (cal. AL-860) is part of this new range. This chronograph is based on a SW500 base caliber that is being modified to a Bi-Compax on CNC machines at the Alpina Manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates, Genève.
Alpina Startimer Pilot timepieces are limited at 8’888 pieces and are presented in a dedicated, luxurious packaging, alongside a Cessna Citation Mustang scale model in PrivatAir livery.
