Luxury watchmakingJaeger-LeCoultre

Reverso personalisationJaeger-LeCoultre opens a new chapter in the art of personalisation

The most ancient and subtle of the decorative arts holds no mystery for the Manufacture in the Vallée de Joux. Enamelling, engraving and gem-setting are among the expert in-house skills harnessed by Jaeger-LeCoultre in developing its horological and artistic creations. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the now cult Reverso watch, Jaeger-LeCoultre is once again pushing back the boundaries of its own inventiveness to launch a personalisation programme unrivalled in luxury watchmaking, drawing on the client’s initiative and artists’ dexterity to create yet more masterpieces destined to find their way through the ages.

Since the creation of the Reverso in 1931, its reverse side has come to represent a space for artistic expression that is unique within the watchmaking world. Thanks to its reversible mechanism patented by Jaeger-LeCoultre, this profoundly personal timepiece offers its wearers the opportunity to share or enjoy in private the secret gracing the second face. Hundreds of Reversos have been engraved and decorated with initials, family crests, royal coats-of-arms and a range of symbols commemorating daring exploits.

Personalisation by the Manufacture’s artistic craftsmen paves the way both for unique watches, designed entirely according to the client’s aesthetic preferences, and for personalised decorations based on themes suggested by the Manufacture. No matter how complex and detailed the order submitted to the Manufacture, whether requiring engraving, alternate matt and gloss polishing, satin, brushed or even coloured finishes, the only limits are those of the customer’s own imagination.
