Enormous presence in golf in AsiaOMEGA welcomes golfer Seung-Yul Noh as ambassador
OMEGA has announced the signing of one of golf’s most compelling young talents. Korean golfer S. Y. Noh is joining golfing greats Greg Norman, Sergio Garcia and Michelle Wie as a brand ambassador for the Swiss watchmaker. Noh said that he is excited about his partnership with OMEGA. "I am happy to be working with OMEGA as an ambassador. The company has had an enormous presence in golf in Asia for many years and I look forward to representing the brand at tournaments and events around the world."
Noh, who is only 19, has already made a big impression on the golfing world. In 2010 Noh had nine top-ten finishes across all the Tours. He became the youngest-ever winner of the Asian Tour Order of Merit and has claimed two professional tournament championships since turning professional in 2007. In his first season as a pro, he was named Asian Tour Rookie of the Year.
He impressed golfing legend and fellow OMEGA ambassador Greg Norman when the two first played together in 2010. Recalling the day, Norman said, "Last September I had the pleasure of playing with Seung-Yul at the Omega European Masters in Crans-Montana. He’s a very impressive young golfer and it was obvious to me that he has a great future in this game. If I had to bet today on 2016 when golf returns to the Olympics, he could be a good choice. I am delighted to welcome him to the OMEGA family and to work together toward making golf a truly global sport."
