Polo takes over Austria from August 20-22, 2010. Jaeger-LeCoultre is sponsoring one team and will be displaying its best and finest sports watches at an exhibition designed around the new Master Compressor Extreme LAB2 Tribute to Geophysic, to be presented at a press conference attended by our Brand Ambassador Stéphane Schaffer. The Swiss mountain guide, accompanied by experienced mountaineers Apa Sherpa and Little Karim Baldi, was the first to successfully ascend a virgin Nepalese summit subsequently christened Antoine LeCoultre Peak.
For the second time, Strobl am Wolfgangsee has thus become a Mecca for international Polo players. Four teams with a total of 16 players will be battling for the second VON Polo Cup Title. Alongside the sport and entertainment, visitors will enjoy a special program of events based on this most prestigious of equestrian sports. This is the second time Jaeger-LeCoultre has partnered the VON Polo Cup in Strobl in Austria.
Jaeger-LeCoultre has been linked with this elite sport ever since 1931, when the Reverso was devised for polo-playing British officers in India. Since then, the company has partnered countless polo tournaments worldwide and sponsored some of the very top polo players such as Adolfo Cambiaso.
