Jaeger-LeCoultre rolls out the red carpet in front of its new Boutique in Cannes

Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre, the reference in Swiss fine watchmaking, is inaugurating a new showcase in Cannes to present its collections and its exceptional expertise. Cannes thus becomes the third Jaeger-LeCoultre Boutique in France, alongside the two already located on the Place Vendôme in Paris and in Lyon, and the 28th boutique worldwide.

Between the red carpet ceremonies before the daily screenings of the films competing for a set of awards including the prestigious Palme d’Or, the 62nd edition of the Cannes International Film Festival sees the unveiling of a new Jaeger-LeCoultre “embassy”. The official opening was presided over by the elegant Jaeger-LeCoultre muse, Diane Kruger, the Deputy Mayor of Cannes, Bernard Brochard, and Jaeger-LeCoultre CEo Jérôme Lambert.

Cannes, a dream town for a dream brand

As the international film capital graced with stunning sea views and sun-drenched charm, Cannes inspires dreams the world over. The collections are presented within an interior design with a display concept reflecting the Art Deco spirit and playing on symmetry, geometry and pure lines. Subtly graded shades of ochre are associated with authentic materials such as leather, American walnut wood, steel and slate. This magnificent setting echoes the calm and serenity of the Vallée de Joux, the enduring source of inspiration for the “artisans of time”.

Diane Kruger, a talented fairy godmother

Diane Kruger, the Jaeger-LeCoultre muse since 2007, embodies the epitome of elegance and glamour in each of her public appearances. Currently featured in the latest Quentin Tarantino film, Inglorious Bastards, and in Lascars by Vincent Cassel, Diane Kruger took the opportunity of her stay on La Croisette to inaugurate this new Jaeger-LeCoultre Boutique and to admire the new release from the Manufacture. For this auspicious occasion, she wore a Reverso Squadra Lady fully set.

Premieres of Unknown at Berlin and Los Angeles Diane Kruger wearing Jaeger-LeCoultre

Internationally renowned German actress Diane Kruger is the feminine face of Jaeger-LeCoultre since 2008. She has a longstanding attachment to the Brand, ever since the day when her mother offered her a Reverso for her 18th birthday. She wore Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces at the Los Angeles and the 61st Berlin Film Festival premiere of Unknown, the latest film in which she stars alongside famous actors Liam Neeson and January Jones.

At the 61st Berlin International Film Festival premiere of Unknown, on February 18th, 2011, Diane Kruger played her role to perfection as the face of the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Lady Ultra Thin. This festival is one of the most important dates in the international film industry’s calendar and annually hosts more than 19,000 film professionals from 128 countries, including about 4,000 journalists.

A couple of days earlier, for the Los Angeles premjere of Unknown on February 16th, Diane Kruger wore her Jaeger-LeCoultre Joaillerie 101 Art Deco watch in white gold set with 180 diamonds. The Jaeger-LeCoultre movement powering this masterpiece contains 98 components and weighs barely one gram. It is the world’s smallest mechanical movement since 1929. She was accompanied by her boyfriend Joshua Jackson, who wore the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin manually-wound watch with a pink gold case.

Grand Opening Event Korea is one of the most dynamic markets of Jaeger-LeCoultre

Jaeger-LeCoultre, the high-end Swiss watch brand with state-of-the-art watchmaking technology and the tradition of 178 years, held the Avenuel Boutique Grand Opening Event and introduced new timepieces for 2011 at Dynasty Hall, Hotel Shilla on June 8, 2011. The event began with a gallery-type exhibition of products, followed by CEO Jérôme Lambert remarks, videos on the brand history and products, a fashion show, dinner and performances.
