More than sixty flagship boutiques at the world’s best retail addressesOMEGA reopens boutique in Zurich
When the Zurich boutique opened in 2000, it was the first in what was to become OMEGA’s network of corporate flagship stores. At the time, the Swatch Group’s late chairman, Nicolas G. Hayek announced that within ten years, OMEGA would have fifty flagship boutiques at the world’s best retail addresses. OMEGA reached the goal in 2008 and now there are more than sixty.
The OMEGA Boutique’s renovations incorporate the brand’s global design concept; now, the original store is consistent with those around the world. The store’s impressive show window has been developed around the themes of four key elements: the sun, water, earth and, of course, time. The interior features natural materials in warm, inviting colours as well as subtle, sophisticated lighting. Visitors feel comfortable as soon as they enter the “House of OMEGA”. OMEGA president Stephen Urquhart said, “The flagship stores are a key part of our brand program – not just to sell watches, but to create an ideal environment to showcase the world of OMEGA. The boutique in Zurich was the first and we always think of it fondly as where our global network began.”
The OMEGA Boutique in Zurich is located at Bahnhofstrasse 52. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
