BASELNEWS 2011Now in 18K white gold: The Movado Museum Red Label Skeleton Dot

Movado united the aesthetic purity of its iconic Museum dial with its long and rich heritage of technologically sophisticated Swiss watch-making in its 2008 Red Label™ mechanical collection. An elegant limited production piece that highlighted that premiere collection – the Museum Red Label Skeleton Dot, distinguished by an 18K rose gold case, hand-winding skeleton movement, round dial aperture and exhibition case back – is being reprised this year with a new twist.

Again issued in limited quantities, this sophisticated 45 mm timepiece with sleekly extended lugs is now crafted in cool, solid 18K white gold. Its black lacquer Horwitt Museum dial with signature flat dot and stick hands features a large round aperture with new red filet at 6 o’clock, through which one may appreciate Movado’s custom-designed red “M” rotor. Painstakingly cut-out by hand, the intricate workings of its fine 17-jewel hand-winding skeleton movement are more fully displayed through a sapphire crystal exhibition case-back. The new 18K White Gold Red Label Museum Skeleton Dot is presented on a strap fashioned of glossy black, large-grained genuine alligator both inside and out, with the delightful surprise of signature red stitching against the wrist.
