Material titaniumTechnology for precise time measurement: Junghans Mega 1000
Technological innovation has a long tradition at Junghans. The watch models of the Avantgarde collection offer enduring proof of this: precision, comfort and polarising design in a futuristic appearance: Mega 1000 in titanium. A new innovation from the Black Forest technology centre is this precise instrument, achieving more than accurate time measurement, it also incorporates Junghans' longstanding expertise in the processing of titanium.
Tested in the demanding field of outer space, the futuristic material titanium offers 100% reliability. In addition to hour, minute and second displays, the large, widescreen digital display also indicates date, weekday, a choice of calendar week, year, second time or the transmitter call sign. The chronograph function is accurate to 1/100 of a second. Times of up to 100 hours are measurable, with ten intermediate times capable of being stored. The acoustic countdown signal, the alarm function and activatable key blocking function are just some of the extensive functions of the Mega 1000, which provides the precise time continually thanks to the automatic reception of the time signal DCF77 (for Europe), WWVB (USA) and JJY 40/60 (Japan). The solid titanium of the case and bracelet are extraordinarily resistant, it is around 40% lighter than steel and particularly kind to the skin. The Mega 1000 is also available with a polyurethane strap.
