Movement in the spotlightExclusive novelty: The EPOS 3435 Verso

To present an exclusive novelty, the Unitas 6497 movement was modified by EPOS engineers to show its impressive backside with its sophisticated mechanics on the front. The beautiful backside of the skeletonized hand wound movement shines in the spotlight.

Presenting the unique 'Verso' watch EPOS is taking its philosophy of 'artistry in watchmaking' to the next level. The movement evolved from supporting- to leading role and thus ascended to the center of the design. Its central mechanical functions are now directly visible on the owners' wrist. The timepiece's balance wheel is clearly revealed, due to a sophisticated skeleton handcraft by EPOS watchmakers. A high-class craftsmanship, hand-engraved bridges and blued screws characterize the unique look of the EPOS 3435.

The decentralized small dial with sunray finish and engraved index hour markers is positioned at 3 o'clock in a subtle way. To not distract from the movement's beautiful sight, it is held in a rather puristic manner. Two symmetric screws on the dial's outer rim attach the dial to the movement. Printed on the dial's central crossbeam are the EPOS logo on the left and the exclusive serial number on the right. The small second on the timepiece's back assumes the function of a pulsometer. The case with a high-quality sapphire crystal is available in a stainless steel or rose PVD version and is water resistant up to 50 meter. Its diameter measures 43.5 millimeter, the thickness 11 millimeter.

Since the inception of EPOS, the key aspiration has always been to produce Swiss mechanical watches exclusively. The manufacture has invariably placed the Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship at the core of its philosophy. This approach is underlined with a high-end decoration and finishing of each model's movement. The 'Verso' watch is the logical consequence of an evolutionary development since the first EPOS watches were put on the market. The influences of several EPOS models on the 'Verso' is visible at first sight, such as the 'Hundertwasser' watch, which was produced by EPOS in 1993 in a limited-edition series. In addition to that, many influences came from skeletonized watches like the 3424SK or 3423SK. The skeletonized watches focus on the mechanical functions of the watch, rather the simple time reading. With these exclusive variations, and in particular with the 'Verso', EPOS addresses the classic mechanical watch enthusiast.
