Challenging workmanshipBASELWORLD 2013: Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry shows a new chronograph in bronze

Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry is pleased to introduce a new automatic chronograph in bronze to the men’s Gucci Coupé collection. Realized with the same extra large 44 by 44mm case as the Gucci Coupé model, this new timepiece contains an ETA Valjoux 7750 movement and features a bronze case and push buttons with a stainless steel case back.

Bronze, which is softer than steel, is rarely used in watchmaking due to its challenging workmanship. The Gucci Coupé timepiece is likely to change patina over time, aging naturally and appealingly with wear.

The bronze Gucci Coupé case is matched with a coordinated black dial and strap. The dial is full of details, displaying the three sub-dials of the chronograph movement, together with a date counter at 4 o’clock. The clou de Paris motif on the dial is further enhanced by tapered counters and indexes in a coordinated shade of bronze.

The Gucci logo appears at 3 o’clock, with Swiss Made symbol at 6 o’clock. The black and bronze colors are complemented by a black calfskin leather strap with matching black overstitching. Another important detail on this men’s timepiece is the transparent glass case back that provides a glimpse into the inner workings of the watch.
