Caesar Awards Gala in BucharestJean-Claude Biver and Hublot awarded
The Caesar Awards represent the most coveted distinctions for luxury brands in Romania. Over 250 VIP guests, including personalities from the business and public service communities as well as sports legends the likes of Ilie Nastase and Nadia Comaneci, attended the Caesar Awards Gala at the Athenee Palace Hilton in Bucharest. After a presentation of the trends for 2011, it was time for the highlight of the evening: the Caesar Best Honoris distinctions. The awards are bestowed by the subscribers of Caesar, Romania’s first and foremost luxury magazine, who voted for the most relevant products and services from six categories in the international luxury industry.
Dan Vardie, founder and editor of Caesar Magazine, presented the Caesar Best Honoris Award to Mr. Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of Hublot, for his impressive achievements over the past 4 decades in the international watch industry. In this short period, his vision, talent and determination shaped three leading watch brands into true worldwide luxury references. Mr. Biver said: “I first wish to thank my team for everything because they really are the ones who made Hublot into what it is today. The day I die will be the moment when my success and what I have achieved can truly be judged. Naturally, I would like to leave a mark for eternity. If you die and leave a mark for eternity you are not dead. And I have a whole life to achieve that goal. And what is a mark for eternity? It is love!”.
