An English Day at the Races Tennis Legend Stefanie Graf joins Longines at Royal Ascot

Longines Ambassador of Elegance Stefanie Graf spent the day at Royal Ascot as Longines celebrated eight years of being the Official Timekeeper of Royal Ascot. In addition, the Swiss watch brand is the Official Watch of the event. Stefanie presented a Conquest Classic watch to the winning owner, trainer, jockey and lad of Sole Power, winner of the King’s Stand Stakes, the prestigious Grade 1 race held on the opening day of the Royal Ascot meeting.

Tennis champion Stefanie Graf joined Longines for a quintessential English day at the races. Winner of 22 Grand Slam singles titles, Stefanie remains the only player to win those tournaments at least four times. Stefanie now dedicates much of her time to helping suffering children through her charity Children for Tomorrow which provides psychological help for children affected by the traumas of war and violence. Through her courage, commitment and generosity, this tennis champion is the perfect embodiment of the Swiss watch brand’s values and slogan: “Elegance is an attitude”.

Royal Ascot is the perfect occasion to discover Conquest Classic, a Longines line of timepieces dedicated to the equestrian world. This collection of models, all fitted with self-winding calibres, is both contemporary and perfectly timeless.

Stefanie Graf, alongside Longines Vice President and Head of International Marketing Juan-Carlos Capelli and Brand Director UK Katrina Jones presented the prize for the King’s Stand Stakes race to winning jockey Richard Hughes and the winning horse Sole Power for their incredible performance. The owner, trainer and lad of Sole Power were presented with watches as well.

Longines is the Official Timekeeper for Royal Ascot as well as the Official Watch with the brand having enhanced on course presence including a chronometer close to the winning post launched last year. Longines also has a number of brand new elegant clocks stationed around the Ascot grounds this year. Continuing a partnership that began in 2007, the Swiss watchmaker will continue to add a touch of elegance and style, synonymous with the prestige of the Royal Meeting.
