A memorable editionDésalpe 2010
From up high in the mountains, under a cloudless sky and amid the din of bells and a cheering crowd, several generations of dairy farmers, dashing in their traditional “bredzon” garb, coaxed their equally magnificent, wreath-adorned dairy cows towards their winter pastures down in the valley.
Between 2,000 and 2,500 guests from near and far converged at the Domaine de la Poneyre to celebrate this year’s transhumance or “Désalpe” as it’s called here with traditional music, food and games -- and to perpetuate the Swiss mountain traditions so dear to the CEO of Hublot, M. Jean-Claude Biver.
