(02/2010) The «star pilot» John Travolta, a keen aviation enthusiast with over 5,000 flight hours under his belt and who is certified on eight different types of aircraft, is reaffirming in 2010 his longstanding affinities with the brand symbolized by the winged B. He will in particular be featured in a Breitling advertising campaign, through a new visual created – like the previous ones - by American photographer Patricia von Ah.
This portrait of Travolta leaning against the cabin of a legendary plane was shot on the runway during the famous Reno Air Races in Nevada – the world’s greatest aeronautical event, of which Breitling is the main sponsor. It is a vivid reminder of this intrepid pilot’s passion for everything embodying the authentic spirit of aviation, such as the Navitimer chronograph with its famous circular slide rule serving to perform all calculations involved in airborne navigation.
