Famous football goalkeeperDiego Benaglio visits the Manufacture of Jaeger-LeCoultre
Diego Benaglio, the Zurich-born goalkeeper for VfL Wolfsburg (Germany), and the official goalkeeper for the Swiss national team, visited the Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture in La Vallée de Joux on 10 November 2009. In just eighteen months, Diego has become one of the German League’s best goalkeepers ever. After arriving in January 2008 in Wolfsburg (Germany), his has been a highly outstanding career. He was even elected “Player of the Year 2009” in Switzerland and Germany.
An aficionado of the brand, Diego Benaglio was extremely interested in touring the manufacture’s various workshops and successfully tried his hand at decorating a plate.
Jérôme Lambert, CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre, presented him with a Master Compressor Diving Chronograph GMT Navy SeaLs, which he will wear as ambassador of the brand in Switzerland and in Germany. Diego Benaglio shares with Jaeger-LeCoultre such values as technique, precision, concentration, experience and team spirit.
Produced in partnership with the United States Navy SEALs, the creation and the design of the Master Compressor Diving Chronograph GMT Navy SEALs is directly based on the professional equipment used by this elite US Army corps. It is one the rare chronographs able to withstand a water pressure of 1,000 meters, that is the weight of a car. This timepiece, which remains perfectly legible when diving, is a truly professional instrument. This series is limited to 1,500 timepieces in Grade 5 titanium.
