ORIS AND CARLOS COSTE – A WATERTIGHT PARTNERSHIP
Oris have agreed an extension to our sponsorship deal with World Champion Venezuelan freediver Carlos Coste. Having fully recovered from injury in 2006 Carlos has an ambitious competitive programme for 2008. This year he hopes to maintain his World Champion status in the Variable Weight discipline and also hopes to set new records in the Constant Weight No Fins category.
Speaking from his training camp in Venezuela, Carlos said: “I feel very proud to have the support of Oris. My name on one of Oris’ bestselling watches which is available all over the world is a unique experience. And to go into the water with Oris behind me is a huge motivation. A reliable watch is one of the most important pieces of equipment a free diver can have. Luckily for me Oris watches are not only stylish – they’re also fit for professionals.”
Carlos trains all year round to prepare for competitions and credits his positive mental attitude and supreme mental strength for his success so far.
