Michael Winter: I `m a man with well a taste…Welcome: Michael Winter
As of August 2011, the lawyer and renowned watch enthusiast, Michael Winter, will regularly write columns and contributions for TrustedWatch. As a lawyer, his experiences and knowledge, especially in the areas important for watch collectors and watch buyers, such as sales law and consumer rights, will be published here at TrustedWatch.
Michael Winter is a man of action and he has professionally agreed to give his own personal introduction:
“Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a man of wealth and taste…”
You may know this text line from the Rolling Stone's hit - it comes from sympathy for the devil. Born in 1958, I was too young to enjoy these hits live. Currently, I am too old to forget them. However, age does not matter; I want to share certain areas of my life experiences with you in the coming future.
I have been working for more than 22 years nationwide as a lawyer, lecturer, instructor and author in the fields of transport law, labour law, and purchasing and contract law. My passion for watches began in 1992. Even then, not following the mainstream, my first brand name watch was not a Rolex or Breitling, but rather I decided for a Zenith El Primero-Caliber. Over the years, almost all the usual classics followed (including the IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar and the Lange 1).
I learned - in part, because here, my professional knowledge was simply overridden by the thought "I want that one" - painfully what reliability in purchasing and repairing watches means. To spare you of that, which my clients and I had to experience, I am now going to take you on a journey through time, the past and the present, as well as through everything that lies in the future.
I am open and grateful for suggestions (as well as for criticism) at any time - send these to me at info@fuehrerscheinretter.de.
Enjoy reading and many good experiences, wishes you
Michael Winter
