(04/2008) They are big, the AIRMAN 7 models by Glycine – very big. Three independent movements combined in one watch need their space. Glycine’s new watches prove that largeness does not necessarily have to mean a lot of weight. Thanks to the high quality materials titanium and carbon fibre, the round AIRMAN 7 and the square AIRMAN 7 Plaza Mayor weigh about a quarter to a third less than their predecessors. The case of the four new models is made of the very sturdy, lightweight and corrosion-resistant titanium.

(11/2007) On 13th November, Sotheby’s Geneva adjudged a very rare pair of gold, enamel and pearl set perfume sprinklers/watches in the form of flint lock pistols with matching keys, made in Geneva about 1806. Extremely beautiful, this lot is attributed to the master watch-maker Jean-François Bautte (the roots of Girard-Perregaux) and his partner Moulinié. It used to be part of the prestigious Sandberg Watch Collection. Estimated at CHF 350'000- 450'000, the hammer price was CHF 855'400.- (with buyer’s premium).
