The latest Certina DS Action chronograph introduces a new shape to spirited timekeeping and brings eloquent expression to undeniable robustness and reliability, in a harmonious design that is at once innovative and unique.
The satin-finish stainless steel watchcase of the new DS Action stands out by its generous diameter and the affirmative strength and purity of its lines. The DS Action Chrono is built with the active sportsman in mind. A finely toothed large outer ring allows for easy handling of its unidirectional rotating bezel, whose bright-red upper surface features large and clearly-defined numerals for quick calculations, and a special Superluminova upper marker for underwater visibility. A bold and stylish case-side guard protects the screw-in crown, while the chronograph pushbuttons are strengthened by short black PVD collars, neatly grooved lengthwise. The dynamic, sporty nature of the new DS Action Chrono is further underlined by a time display that leaves nothing to chance: clear, direct markings, facetted indexes striped with Superluminova treatment, an oversized number 12 and highly contrasting colours, tones and finishes throughout. Chronograph timing is also shown through a clever interplay of surfaces, with finely snail-surfaced black-background counters and bright red pointers. This exciting new timepiece carries highly-legible tachymeter markings against a sloping outer rim on the display, in crisp white-on-black numbers.
Protected by a resistant sapphire crystal watch glass and full DS+ system features, the DS Action Chrono is tested water-resistant to 200 meters. The main model (photo) is available with a segmented, three-row black rubber strap equipped with a folding safety buckle and diving extension. The DS Action Chrono is also available in three other variations: black dial and steel bracelet (photo); black dial, black bezel and black rubber strap; silver dial, black chrono counters and steel bracelet.
