Back to the FutureBASELWORLD 2012: Kairos 2012 with a new Face
Following the successful launch of the Pacific Line and the Lady Collection, 2012 sees the traditional Chronoswiss line Kairos heading back to the spotlight. Alongside a new version of the Kairos Chronograph, Chronoswiss has also reworked the classic Kairos Automatic and Kairos Lady models. These new “faces” are currently being presented at Baselworld 2012.
Design with tradition: The classic three-handed watch Kairos is the Chronoswiss model that kicked it all off. The reinterpretation of 2012 references this history, though it includes little concessions to legibility. Among the classic values, one finds the blued, hand-polished steel Breguet Losange hands ― a Chronoswiss exclusivity ― alongside a finely guilloché dial crafted in solid Sterling silver and the date.
Attention to detail: These new versions of the Kairos models also consistently continue the perfection of their appearances within their cases. The transparent sapphire crystal case back so typical of Chronoswiss allows a view of the highly precise, robust automatic movement with ball bearing rotor.
Alongside the Kairos Automatic with its 40 mm diameter, the Kairos Lady in an extra-small 34 mm version is also available. With their perfect shapes and new faces, the 2012 Kairos models prove once again Chronoswiss’s competent ability to design classically mechanical timepieces.
