First timepiece by Atlantic with a power-reserve indicatorBASELWORLD 2012: Worldmaster 1888 mit Réserve de Marche

The latest newcomer in the legendary “Worldmaster 1888” series is the first timepiece launched by Atlantic Watch SA with a power-reserve indicator. Headquartered in the Swiss town of Lengnau, Atlantic Watch SA has been manufacturing quality watches for over one hundred and twenty years.

Atlantic Watch SA has an enviable global reputation as a manufacturer of timekeeping instruments with a price/performance ratio that lives up to the company’s motto “A True Value”. Connoisseurs of timeless watches will warmly welcome the latest addition to the legendary “Worldmaster 1888” series, now endowed with a power-reserve display. It comes in a classic stainless steel case with a diameter of 42 millimeters framed by a striking concave bezel. Its most prominent feature is the guilloched dial with the integrated analog power-reserve indicator. Its face is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inside. The crown is fitted with double O-rings and the caseback is screwed, making the watch water-resistant to a depth of 50 meters.

The “Worldmaster 1888 Réserve de Marche” is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, the lavishly decorated ETA caliber “2897 Réserve de Marche”. The display back affords interesting views of the high-precision inner life of the watch, the beautiful Geneva striping, and the fascinating choreography performed by this exquisite Swiss movement. The watches of the new “Worldmaster 1888 Réserve de Marche” line are available with silver, black, or cream dials and high-grade brown or black calfskin straps secured with prong buckles.

Atlantic Watch CEO Jürg Bohne: “We are proud to be able to present a timepiece with a power-reserve display for the first time in our company’s history – not least because we know its price/performance ratio will definitely appeal to watch enthusiasts as well. After all, our motto is “A True Value”.
