8th GRAND PRIX HISTORIQUE DE MONACOBASELWORLD 2012: The KUROS collections by CYRUS
During the next 8th GRAND PRIX HISTORIQUE DE MONACO (May, 11th to May, 13th), CYRUS will have its own FORMULA 3 car and its own models dedicated to that event. A choice inspired by the unique design of the KUROS collections, very often compared to design of sports car. Even the rubber straps will be developed with the rubber coming from the wheels that will be used during the competition. That is something very exclusive.
The choice of MONACO was a logical one as the co-founder and managing director of the brand, Laurent Lecamp, grew up in a small village very close to MONACO, La Turbie, from which he observed the Principality, being fascinated by the unique colors and architecture of this state between mountains and sea. Moreover the first retailer that started with the CYRUS brand is in MONACO too. MONACO was also a choice coming from the heart.
2 limited editions will be produced for that special event, each available in 99 pieces only. Following to the CYRUS philosophy, each timepiece has been developed with the values of the brand: Innovation, exclusivity and strong design identity. Each watch will be accompanied by a bracelet, a very sporty one, 100% in connection with the strap of the watch and the watch itself. This bracelet will be produced for CYRUS by ALBANU, a family business whose activities are centered upon the fabrication and distribution of traditional jewelry, combining natural materials with precious metals like gold and other metals like titanium. Over the decades, Albanu has acquired a skill and savoir-faire which enables them, above and beyond the vagrancies of «made in Monaco» fashion, to conceive and produce creations in search of excellence and individuality.
Pieces will be available from May, 20th, once the rubber of the wheels has been used for production of straps. Pieces on request only.
