It takes a lot to surprise followers of MB&F, but the latest version of Horological Machine No2, with a case created by French artist watch designer Alain Silberstein, may well do it. Alain Silberstein is widely known for his bold use of colour and pattern – and one might have expected the adventurous Maximilian Büsser to push that tendency to the limit.
Breguet’s Marine collection draws its inspiration from the original designs created by Breguet himself for the French Royal Navy after his 1815 appointment as Horologist to the French Navy. Sturdy in design, Breguet Marine watches have for decades been reputed for their dependable performances. In 2004 Breguet launched a new interpretation of this product line, featuring a markedly more contemporary and sporty but ever elegant design.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the launch of the first selfwinding chronograph movement, Breitling is introducing two limited editions of its Chrono-Matic model, featuring a look inspired by the 1969 original and equipped with precious leap-year or perpetual calendars.

Tantalum is a wonderful metal but rarely used in watchmaking as it is hard and very difficult to manipulate, due to its very high fusion temperature of 3800° and a density of 16.6. Tantalum is also precious as it is highly resistant to corrosion and wear.

Maîtres du Temps presents Chapter One Round, featuring a bold, architecturally-inspired round case housing Chapter One's groundbreaking combination of complications. The interplay of the multi-level concentric circles of the case and dial entices the viewer's eye inward to the majestic amphitheater of the indication-rich dial. There, attention might first alight either on the kinetic ballet of the sublimely finished tourbillon or on the eye-catching red of the counterpoised chronograph second hand, both in contrast to the backdrop of the dial’s dark brushed-satin finish. Around 3,700 craft have been launched since 1920 by Boesch, the boatyard located on Lake Zurich. All made of wood. The reddishbrown, highly polished mahogany is the mark of their exclusive craftsmanship. A special edition of the Aquatimer Chronograph shows reverence to the boat builders.

With this new 9907 MC calibre, produced, developed and prototyped exclusively in-house in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Cartier is revisiting the chronograph function through this pioneering version of the Rotonde de Cartier model.

Although seemingly a newcomer to the watch marketplace, the name Grönefeld and the art of watchmaking have a family history spanning nearly one hundred years, originating in the small and ancient town of Oldenzaal located in The Netherlands.
