BASELNEWS 2011Movado Master Black-Out Chronograph
Its dynamic watch design boldly rooted in the strong industrial and architectural expressions of the Bauhaus movement, the Movado Master™ Collection premiered at Basel to wide critical acclaim in 2009. An automatic chronograph of heroic proportion joined the collection last year. Now for 2011, Movado expands this pinnacle collection, introducing a commanding new self-winding chronograph model.
Its black PVD-finish combines with the all-black dial and strap to create a powerful look of dark, monochromatic mystery. Machined in solid stainless steel, the monumental 45 mm tonneau-shaped case with black sapphire crystal gear-edge bezel and architectural hinge-style lugs is detailed by two round black PVD pushers and a gear-edge screw-down crown. Incorporating Master’s signature asymmetric circle-within-a-circle motif and button-style dot 12 o’clock, the meticulously designed, textured black chronograph dial features a dark-ringed black dot, three timing subdials, minute track, and round date display. It is powered by a fine Swiss automatic movement with custom-designed black “M” rotor, and presented on a substantial, dot-textured black rubber strap with Z-fold deployment buckle. The Movado Master™ Black-Out Chronograph is water resistant to 30 ATM.
