On April 9th, Ben won Trofeo Princesa Sofia MAPFRE in Palma, slightly increasing his lead on the SWC standings and maintaining its first place.

The Majorcan event is followed by Semaine Olympique Française (Hyères, France at the end of April), Delta Lloyd Regatta (Medemblik, The Netherlands in May), Skandia Sail for gold (Weymouth, Great Britain in June) and Kieler Woche (Kiel, Germany in June). Ambassador of the brand Corum since 2008, Ben Ainslie declared: “The come back to the Finn has been hard work. I need to work more on my fitness. It is good to see the other British do well, it is motivating and is good for sailing in England.” Ainslie's next stop will be Hyères on April 23rd.
