The background for DeWitt’s new creation is the majestic New York of the 1930’s, stimulating, prosperous, and characterized by the Art Deco movement and its innovative, modern, aerodynamic lines. Comprising 320 components, the DW8014 calibre expresses the same inventive audacity.

The 100% Manufacture DeWitt movement introduces a patented Automatic Sequential Winding (A.S.W.) device driven by a peripheral oscillation rotor. The dial is dominated by an impressive construction whose four columns tower majestically over the tourbillon. The balanced structure of the sunray-decorated dial and the chocolate-brown tones of the sapphire crystal reinforce the exclusive character of this exceptional timepiece.

8’000 spectators DeWitt is Official Timekeeper of the Queen’s Cup

Blue sky, refreshing little breeze and the beautifully prepared polo field of Smith’s Lawn. On Sunday (June 13) and for DeWitt’s first major event as “Official Timekeeper” of the Guards Polo Club, the setting at Windsor Great Park was just perfect for the Grand Finale of the mythical Queen’s Cup. On that occasion, Jérôme de Witt had the privilege of presenting to H.M The Queen a special commemorative Dame de Pressy watch.

Montres DeWitt is honoured to have been invited to participate in the Only Watch 2011 Charity Auction in favour of research programmes on the Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), to be held in Monaco on September 22 under the high patronage and in presence of S.A.S. Le Prince Albert II of Monaco. After a first participation in 2005 and, in 2007, the presentation of the WX-1 (concept watch no 1), an exceptionally complicated horological piece of art, DeWitt is presenting this year yet another masterpiece: the X-Watch.
