Don Vito Wyprächtiger will make historyOris Big Crown Air Racing hits Nevada
From 15th – 19th September this year Oris is taking part in the world famous Reno Air Race in Nevada, USA with its team 'Oris Big Crown Air Racing'. Aerobatic pilot Don Vito Wyprächtiger will make history as he competes in the 'Formula One' category in his trusty "Scarlet Screamer": he will become the first ever Swiss to feature at Reno. He qualified for the event by attending a Rookie Camp, which he passed with flying colours. After seeing his performance the organisers gave him the go-ahead to take part in this year’s race.
Vito’s plane has undergone a complete overhaul in recent months ensuring it is super fast and ready for action in the prestigious air race in the Nevada desert. Vito’s technical knowledge of aircraft helped him to plan and oversee the modifications. He is no stranger to aerobatics, having already competed in numerous national and international competitions and marking his place as one of the best up and coming aerobatic daredevils on the scene. His experience should prove invaluable at Reno.
