FIRST leg of the FAI - Hungarian aerobatic championThe winner: Tamás Nádas and FORTIS B-47 CALCULATOR
In the vicinity of Kecskemét, Hungary, in Matkópuszta between the 31st of May and the 5th of June 2010, the Hungarian Open Aerobatic Championship was held. As the championship was open for international entries, the event is considered an international event of the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale) also. For this reason, the winner receives not one but two medals.
Aerobatic pilots from three countries in four different categories (Unlimited, Advanced, Yak-52 and Sportsman) made the sky over Matkópuszta, Hungary uncertain. The result brought no surprise. FORTIS protege and master of last year, Tamás Nádas could defend his title in the Advanced category, with success. With 5058.34 points,he was nearly 200 points in front of the runner-up.
The FORTIS B-47 CALCULATOR - 47 mm diameter - presented on the occasion of this year's Basel watch fair, can assist as a professional navigating instrument if the electronic systems on board an aircraft should fail. This mechanical watch with automatic winding was developed following the pilots' specifications to fulfil the requests of all typical flight parameters.
