Overall winner: Dane Rasmus KofoedHublot honours haute cuisine

Hublot spent the start of this week at the heart of the prestigious "Bocuse d’Or" Chefs' championship. The brand was the timer for the competitions, earning pride of place on the chefs' hats. The winner was awarded a Big Bang presented by Jean-Claude Biver, the CEO of Hublot.

As a gourmet, Jean-Claude Biver was keen to mark the Bocuse d’Or event, which was held in Geneva during the first edition of the "Salon Gourmet" show. A select group of top European culinary talents took part in the world's greatest cooking competition! A core of keen and enthusiastic supporters attended the performances of star chefs from twenty European countries, of whom just 12 were selected to compete in the World Bocuse d’Or in 2011. Naturally, stars of the gastronomic world formed a demanding expert jury.

This festival of fine cooking was timed by Hublot Swiss clocks, which adorned each individual kitchen and marked the countdown of the time allotted to make each dish (5 hrs 35 precisely), with penalties for each minute's delay imposed on chefs late in serving their creations!

There were prizes for various categories, and Jean-Claude Biver presented a Big Bang to the overall winner, the Dane Rasmus Kofoed. The boss of Hublot indicated his great pride in being a sponsor for such an environment of quality and good taste: "In watchmaking and cooking we share the same values of passion, precision, a love for detail, striving for excellence and respect for tradition! I am delighted on behalf of Hublot to reward a young, passionate Chef so full of creativity and talent!"
