3rd Jaeger-LeCoultre Polo Gold Cup in Sotogrande
For the third year running, the fine Swiss watchmaking Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre sponsors the Gold Cup organised for Santa Maria Polo Club in Sotogrande, Spain. Considered as the most important Polo Tournament in Continental Europe, the Gold Cup takes place from 18th to 30th August 2009. The Sotogrande Gold Cup is a high handicap (18 / 20 goals) tournament that meets the best polo players in the world. This year, Eduardo Novillo Astrada and Juan Martin Nero (winner of the last Argentina Open), Polo Ambassadors for Jaeger-LeCoultre will play in Sotogrande to win the Gold Cup.
Created in 1971 for Santa Maria Polo Club, situated in Sotogrande estate in the south of Spain (20 km from Gibraltar), the Gold Cup is one of the best tournaments for professional players and a reference in international polo schedule.
Moreover for the first time, Jaeger-LeCoultre inaugurates an ephemeral Boutique in association with Perodri jewellery. Opened during all Sotogrande Polo games days, from 29th July to 30th August 2009, this new Boutique situated in the commercial zone of “Los Pinos”, is the new meeting point for both High Watchmaking and Polo lovers. Visitors have the chance to discover or re-discover unique timepieces of the Grande Maison, including the iconic Reverso Squadra lines and some special straps exclusively designed for the occasion.
