Oris presents The Inside Track with Nico and Kazuki

AT&T Williams drivers, and Oris ambassadors Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima were the star attraction at Oris’ exclusive ‘Inside Track’ event in London yesterday. With just days to go before the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Oris offered press and customers the chance to gain an insight from the drivers into the preparation work that goes into one of the biggest events in the British sporting calendar.

The glamorous ‘Dreamvault’ in central London, was transformed into a motor sports paddock for the afternoon as the drivers gave a guide to the track as well as a first class demonstration of what it takes to be a motor sports star.  With event commentary from AT&TWilliams own F1 commentator, John Sertori, guests could be mistaken for thinking they were at Silverstone.

Big events sometimes need to be brought down to size, and Oris did just that with its Silverstone Scalextric track!  At 6m x 3m the track is significantly smaller than the real Silverstone – but just as tough to drive! Both drivers demonstrated extreme skill and threw down the gauntlet to guests to try to beat their fastest lap times.

After setting his fastest lap Nico commented: “This is a really fun Oris event and it has been good to do something different in the lead up to the team’s home Grand Prix.” Kazuki added: “We do most of our practice on simulators, so for Oris to challenge us to this kind of race was really different – I enjoyed it!”

Oris UK Sales Manager, Paul Thurlow said: “It’s fantastic that both Nico and Kazuki were able to join us for the event today, and to give our guests an insight into the world of Formula One.  Most people never get the chance to experience a trip to the paddock so it’s great that Oris is able to organise events like this as part of our sponsorship of AT&T Williams.”
