Carlos Coste makes a timely return at the AIDA World Championships 2007

The free-diving world record-holder and watch partner of Oris Carlos Coste is currently competing at the AIDA Indoor Individual World Championships 2007 in Maribor, Slovenia. This will be his first international competition since his cerebral vascular accident last September whilst training to beat the no limits world record. The athlete is now in peak physical condition with the fitness to attempt to beat the dynamic Pan American record with flippers and prove himself as one of the best.

The best free-diving specialists from more than 30 countries worldwide will take part in the indoor dynamic and static disciplines of the competition. What’s most important for Coste is to show that he has made a complete recovery and will remain a long-lasting champion.  And the watch designed in his name is equally enduring and resilient, with its 47 mm case, massive sapphire glass, and water resistance to 1000 m. This innovative and oversized diver’s chronograph is equipped with a unidirectional security bezel, screw-down buttons and crown, helium valve for pressure compensation, and top-class mechanical movement. Orange luminous inlay on the indices and hands ensure optimal readability in deep water. The exclusiveness of this watch edition is shown on the case beside the individual number: the case back is imprinted with the logo and the signature of Carlos Coste. Like Carlos Coste at the championships, it’s proving to be highly successful.
