The Swiss-made Valjoux movement sits in a “ monocoque chassis”; similar to any modern racing car and as such it is not actually attached to the case itself. This suspension system not only protects the mechanical movement from violent conditions such as those experienced in a racecar but also allows for more flexibility in terms of choice of material for the outer case. Because this durable collection is machined from a solid block of “aircraft grade” billet carbon fiber, not the forged composite material used by many watch brands, these timepieces are unique to today’s market. The dial is covered by a flat sapphire crystal on which both sides are treated with anti-glare coating, which offers a high visibility under any type of lighting conditions.
