Global design conceptVacheron Constantin Inaugurates its First Boutique in the Territory
On June 7, 2004, Vacheron Constantin celebrated the grand opening their inaugural boutique in Hong Kong. Located at Shop OT287, Level 2, Ocean Terminal, Tsim Sha Tsui, the store features the current characteristics of Vacheron Constantin’s global design concept. In attendance for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony were Mr. Jean-Michel Paray, Managing Director of Vacheron Constantin Asia Pacific, Mr. Samuel Lee, Managing Director of Elegant Watch & Jewellery Company Limited, and Mr. Osvaldo Patrizzi, Chairman of Antiquorum.
At the event, Mr. Paray said of the store opening, “This is a momentous occasion for Vacheron Constantin since we first opened our offices here in September 1997. With the opening of our first standalone boutique here in the heart of the city, we will continue to deliver quality timepieces and services to our discerning customers in Hong Kong. For us to be here today, we also have to thank Elegant Watch & Jewellery, and therefore, we also celebrate today this new partnership together which I am sure will continue to bloom and prosper.”
To help celebrate this auspicious occasion with the world’s oldest watch manufacturer in uninterrupted activity, Antiquorum – the world’s leading auctioneers of watches – brought to Hong Kong a very rare collection of old Vacheron Constantin timepieces that will be displayed exclusively at the new store for viewing purposes only on June 7 & 8, 2004. A model was also on-hand to parade the collection for everyone in attendance.
Taking advantage of the amount of horological expertise available during this historic moment in Vacheron Constantin’s long and distinguished history, Mr. Osvaldo Patrizzi of Antiquorum and Mr. Bernard Vuilliomenet, Director of Vacheron Constantin Museum, two of the foremost experts of old timepieces from Geneva, will offer to the public free and confidential appraisals of Vacheron Constantin watches on June 7 & 8, 2004, during the shop’s opening hours.
