Decision in favor of Swatch GroupSwatch Group versus Tiffany & Co., New York

The NAI Netherlands Arbitration Institute passed judgement in the lawsuit Swatch Group vs Tiffany & Co.: Tiffany & Co. is sentenced to pay Swatch Group damages totalling CHF 402 million. The counter-claim of Tiffany & Co. is integrally dismissed.

In September 2011, Swatch Group had terminated the collaboration with Tiffany & Co. for breach of contract and pressed claims for damages in December 2011 against Tiffany & Co. In March 2012, Tiffany & Co. filed a counterclaim with the Court of arbitration in charge.

Specialist in the Time and Frequency field ADVA Optical Networking acquires Oscilloquartz

The Swatch Group Ltd and ADVA Optical Networking SE today announced that ADVA Optical Networking SE has acquired all shares of Oscilloquartz Ltd., based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in early April 2014. Further terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

A new record of CHF 8 817 million Swatch Group sales grow 8.3 percent

With its 20 brands, the worldwide leader in the watch sector grew by a further 8.3%, generating record sales of CHF 8 817 million in 2013, despite the extremely adverse currency situation. The major growth factors were the strong brands and the extensive distribution and retail network.

Over 1500 new jobs created Swatch Group: Gross sales increase by one billion Swiss Francs

In 2012, the Swatch Group exceeded its eight-billion-franc target for gross sales. In an economic environment that remained extremely nervous, the Group increased gross sales by 14.0% to CHF 8 143 million, one billion more than in 2011.
