Longines Future Tennis Aces 2013 Longines is looking for the champions of tomorrow

As official partner of the French Open, the Swiss watch brand Longines is looking for the tennis champions of tomorrow with the Longines Future Tennis Aces tournament, that will take place on the 30, 31 May and 1st June 2013.

They are less than 13 years old, come from all around the world and have one dream in common: win once the prestigious French Open tournament at Roland-Garros. Longines gives the opportunity to sixteen boys to play on the mythical Parisian clay during the Longines Future Tennis Aces tournament. This year, the competition will take place on a clay court in the heart of Paris, on the frontcourt of the city hall. Selected with the help of the tennis federations of their respective countries, – Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, U.K. and USA - these budding tennis champions will compete over two days of tournament to qualify for the final on Saturday morning 1st June. At the end of the final, the winner will be presented with a trophy by a representative of the French Tennis Federation and both finalists will receive an annual bursary of 2’000 $ to pay for their sports equipment until their sixteenth birthday. Theses 16 young talents come from every corner of the world: Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, U.K. and the USA.

Before competing in this tournament, the 16 players will be able to train their technique on clay in the frame of the Longines Academy, a big premiere this year. During two days at the “Tennis Club de la Chataigneraie”, they will be coached by Jérome Golmard, former professional player, ex ATP n°22, and Rémi Barbarin, professional physical trainer. The young talents will be able to work on accelerations, slow-downs, slides, footwork and placing thanks to specific trainings.

In the frame of the French Open 2013, Longines launches Conquest Classic.
