Breguet has given its Vienna boutique a complete makeover, almost ten years after it first opened. The design has evolved considerably in step with an extremely avantgarde horological concept. Interactive themed films also enliven the spacious premises now spread over 190 m2 and which were officially opened on December 6th.
Unveiling an exclusive selection of the brand’s latest creations within a refined and elegant setting, the aesthetic of the new boutique pays tribute to the key attributes of the venerable watchmaking house. The silvery colour of the display walls is inspired by the silvered gold watch dials, while the glass is engraved with a motif echoing Breguet’s traditional clous de Paris hobnailed engine-turned pattern. The elliptical forms on the ceiling reflect the oval shape of the Reine de Naples, the first wristwatch ordered from A.-L. Breguet in 1810 by Caroline Murat, Queen of Naples, and now the brand’s stellar ladies’ collection. Representing a major innovation, an entire area is dedicated to the work of the artisans exercising their skills within the Manufacture Breguet. Intera ctive themed films offer clients the privilege of exploring the crafting of the timepieces in harmony with the finest Swiss watchmaking traditions. They discover the delicate touch required by the art of engine-turning or guillochage, as well as the finesse of the bevelling, polishing and chasing operations – all of which contribute to making each Breguet timepiece truly unique.
