TIMELAB launches in Geneva

(06/2010) After several months of preparation to launch this innovative organisation, TIMELAB – Foundation of the Geneva Laboratory of Horology and Microengineering – has been officially unveiled in the presence of numerous representatives from the fields of watchmaking, politics, economics and specialised education. This centre for certification and Research & Development, houses two of the most prestigious watch certifications, the Hallmark of Geneva and the Geneva Office of the COSC (Official Swiss Chronometer Certification).

(06/2010) On 29 May in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the “striking mechanism” for a pocket watch by Janina Thiele was awarded the first prize of the Swiss watchmaking competition, “Concours Institut Horlogerie Cartier 2010” (IHC). Patrick Ritschel and Eric Geissler, two further apprentices from Lange, came fifth and sixth.
