The Watchfinder function lets users select the timepieces which have exactly the specifications that they are looking for; their choices can be saved as Favorites.

(08/2010) An exhibition describing a revolution which is taking place in the art of mechanical watchmaking, and featuring OMEGA’s radical Co-Axial escapement, will take place at the KaDeWe in Berlin from the 4th to the 28th of August, 2010.

Visitors to the exhibition, which is located on the ground floor in the centre of the “Themenhalle”, will have the opportunity to see all of OMEGA’s current wristwatch models equipped with Co-Axial movements; they can also examine the calibres in detail through a watchmaker’s loupe. The numerous delicate individual parts of the movements, such as screws and springs, are compellingly revealed through the magnifying lens.

(07/2010) In 1947 France instigated a series of exploratory missions to the Arctic and Antarctica under the leadership of a renowned scientist, Paul-Emile Victor. These expeditions brought together geologists, geodesists, meteorologists, physicists, biologists, geographers and glaciologists all were aiming to explore, study and understand the North and South Poles. The mass of equipment required by the first Paul-Emile Victor missions for exploring these inhospitable regions included four Longines ship’s chronometers and fifteen Longines wristwatches which were used for determining their astronomical position.

(07/2010) The unveiling of a monument to Ferdinand A. Lange by 15 apprentices of the company’s own watchmaker school was the highlight of a ceremony at which Lange Uhren GmbH inaugurated the A. Lange & Söhne Park in Glashütte on 15 July. With this, the company pays tribute to the founder of Germany’s fine watchmaking industry, who opened the first watchmaker workshop in the region in 1845 with 15 apprentices.
