Montblanc first exhibited at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva in 1997 and has since grown to become a respected and successful maker of fine handcrafted watches. In the summer of 2003, the tremendous success and demand for the company’s products required the extension of the Montblanc production facility in Le Locle, Switzerland, to 1000 sqm. This expansion is firm evidence of the growing success of the Montblanc Watch Collection. Montblanc will be unveiling the latest offerings and innovations at this year’s SIHH 2005.
One of the highlights of the show will be the presentation of the Montblanc “Star XXXL Chrono GMT Automatic“ chronograph, made of solid 18-carat red gold. High-carat feminine elegance will be much in evidence with the eye-catching, diamond-studded “Star Lady Chrono Diamonds” and the new “Profile Lady Elegance Diamonds”. The innovative “TimeWalker GMT-Automatic“, which interprets classic Montblanc elements in a fascinating way for the future, signals the brand’s departure into a new era. Like all watches and timepieces created by Montblanc Montre S.A., the new watches presented at SIHH 2005 are exclusively handcrafted in Le Locle to the precise standards and traditions of Swiss watchmaking.
A chronograph for an exalted lifestyle: “Star XXXL Chrono GMT Automatic”

The Montblanc “Star XXXL Chrono GMT Automatic” is a chronograph for exalted tastes which unites timelessly classic aesthetics with complex functionality: a solid 18-carat red gold automatic watch with a silver dial which provides all the standard chronograph features, a date aperture and an integrated GMT display (Greenwich Mean Time), allowing a second time zone to be monitored.
The wearer is invited to contemplate the passing of time through the crystal base of the watchcase, which reveals the balance wheel and the magnificent details of the COCS-certified movement. First-rate watchmaking craftsmanship for a brilliant star: “Star Lady Chrono Diamonds”
A red carpet appearance is in store when the “Star Lady Chrono Diamonds” is presented at the Geneva Watch Salon. The new addition to the Montblanc Star Steel Jewellery Collection is a ladies’ chronograph with an irresistible aura of extravagant sensuality. Forty-nine top Wesselton VVS-quality diamonds – a total of 0.80 carat – sparkle around the bezel. The bombée anti-reflex-coated sapphire crystal forms an elegant dome over the shimmering mother-of-pearl dial, the dainty hands and the chronographic displays for 1/10 seconds, 30 minutes and stop seconds. Even the date aperture is daringly different, and has been shifted elegantly down to four o’clock. This truly striking quartz chronograph is crowned with a blue moiré python strap.
Montblanc has united the brand’s haute joaillerie skills with the very highest Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship to create the “Star Lady Chrono Diamonds”, a luxuriously sensuous handcrafted watch with an outstanding range of functions. High-carat rectangular elegance: “Profile Lady Elegance Diamonds”
Introduced several years ago, the Montblanc Profile Collection has a strong, distinctive profile. The collection comprises a variety of stylish rectangular ladies stainless steel watches and several chrono and large versions for men. Until now, all Profile watches have been 23 x 30mm in size; in the “Profile Lady Elegance Diamonds” the dimensions have been increased to an expressive and striking 23 x 35mm.
The most prominent detail of this Profile quartz watch is the precious diamond setting. Echoing the basic geometrical shape of the collection, twenty-two top Wesselton VVS-quality diamonds, with a total of 0.33 carat, have been set in triangles. Both feminine and striking; elegant and fashionable. This inspirational interplay between elements that appear so disparate at first glance has been continued on the dial with a further four diamonds and a chic stainless steel bracelet.
Sporty, fashionable, chic: “Sport Lady”“ and “Sport Lady Jewels”
The Montblanc Sport Steel Collection is a true evergreen among exclusive sport watches: sporty stainless steel models with quartz movements, water-resistant to a depth of 200 metres. The scratch-resistant flat sapphire glass with anti-reflex coating is exceptionally robust, while the date aperture and fluorescent hands are highly functional. At SIHH, Montblanc will be presenting two new fashionable and elegant ladies’ models from the Montblanc Sport Steel Collection.
Both models from the “Sport Lady” and “Sport Lady Jewels” collections pay tribute to stylishness and casual chic with gleaming white mother-of-pearl dials and trendy rosé rubber straps. The new “Sport Lady” has a classic-sporty elegance, while the “Sport Lady Jewels” emanates the delectable glamour of understated luxury. In continuation of the fine sports watches presented by Montblanc at last year’s SIHH, the new “Sport Lady Jewels” has a double-crown of pink sapphires which perfectly matches the colour of the strap.
Innovative interpretation of classic Montblanc design: “TimeWalker GMT Automatic”
Montblanc’s TimeWalker collection is aimed at a new, self-assured, dynamic and successful generation. The collection’s innovative design, which re-interprets classic Montblanc details, is continued in the “TimeWalker GMT Automatic” which will be displayed at SIHH 2005. Purist, striking, strong. The outstanding features of this TimeWalker watch are the GMT function, which offers a further time zone for cosmopolitans, the shine of polished steel which contrasts alluringly with the black watch face, and the transparent sapphire crystal base which reveals even the minutest motion of the masterfully crafted automatic movement. The new watch is available with a classically elegant black alligator strap or a sporty stainless steel bracelet.
